I was standing on the platform, lost in my own thought, Waiting for a train that I'd wish that I had caught. The station was crowded, people flowing by, I watched the commuters I let out a sigh. Then I heard the whistle blow, a distant cry, Like some great animal about to die. Framed in a window, I saw a face A girl with a smile that looked out of place. Changing trains, it’s fate's cruel game, Our eyes locked in a moment, what is her name? Two lonely people on separate tracks And a great opportunity falling through the cracks. I watched her get away, as her train rolled out, A stranger's fleeting smile my suppressed shout. Our paths had crossed, just a brief encounter, Yet in that moment I went from happy to a downer. When I heard the whistle blow, a sound of despair, Her train was leaving, and I solemnly swear. In that fleeting glimpse, I found my muse, A girl on another train, in which my hope renews. (Chorus) Time and distance keep us apart, the memory of that day is in my heart. Life may be brief, like a passing trains, But the smile we shared will always remain. (Chorus)

about

Brian Harris London, UK

I died in the Punk Wars you know ...guts hanging out on the barbed wire in the women's loo down the Roxy.
Recently described as 'the West London Chris Difford', I still don't understand what that means-I'm the West London 'Me'!

Osmucon (Osaka Music Concern) is the label.
